Big events for the Boatman's Summer 2009...
Puppies. Lucy had her puppies at the beginning of June. They are long gone to their new homes. I do miss them but am enjoying the peace and quiet. And I no longer have to watch them like a hawk to prevent "puppy presents" as my mom calls them. Lucy is loving life without the responsibility...Footloose and Fancy Free. She is back to her hyper annoying self and I love it.

CharlieAlso this summer BJ has been traveling all over Arizona and Montana fighting forest fires. His company has a contract with the BLM to assist in fire supression. The first half of summer he was based out of Wickenburg, AZ fighting fires all over the state. I was able to visit him in a few places he went to.....
Lake Havasu

A small fire in Parker brought BJ to western AZ. I drove over and spent the weekend with him. On his day off we drove up to Lake Havasu City 30 Minutes north of Parker and played in the lake.
MONTANA
The last half of summer they were stationed in Lewistown, MT. There he went all over Montana and got to enjoy the beautiful scenery and weather.

Lake Powell
After his first 12-day stretch there his family surprised me by flying him down for our family trip to Lake Powell. It was a wonderful surprise.
Lewistown, MT

I then had the chance to visit him in MT. I flew up and stayed for a week. Lewistown is an adorable small town. I did a lot of walking up and down Main Street. While I was there BJ got a few days off so we bowled three days in a row and ate at a lot of cool little resturants. We also went hiking in the Judith Mountains just north of town. It was so gorgeous up there with chilly weather and it rained almost everyday I was there.
All in all it was a fun and busy summer. I am so grateful for how everything worked out. After some family trails and personal trails I have such a strong testimony in answered prayers.

BJ came home about a week ago. It's been taking some getting used to but I'm so glad he's home. Though Lucy got kicked back to sleeping outside. She was sure enjoying sleeping on his pillow but doesn't seem to mind being outside at all.
Fall will be awesome. I'm taking a class at EMCC. I plan to go back to school full time soon and major in Music Education. I'm nervous but very excited. BJ was instantly thrown but into the swing of things at work, managing the flight school and doing any and all other jobs around the valley. So we are well and hope you all are too.
